- Just press G to remove the grid
for more freedom wgile placing objects c hold alt - mightyspritesimsNew HotshotWHOA! That is amazing! I knew about G to toggle whether the grid appears or not, but not about holding Alt to be able to place an item anywhere! Thank you :) (And on a Mac, which I play on, holding Option does the same thing.)
- To my knowledge, no. But I may be totally wrong.

Hahaha that's not what I meant :P I'm not bothered by the look of the grid, I actually want the feature of the grid gone so I can place decoration on my table however I want it, but I'm curious if there's a way to do that, and it looks like there isn't :/- I'm pretty sure the game operates using the grid. In just about every (if not every) game I can think of like this... There is no such thing as putting an item in between grid squares or wherever you want... They snap to a space because they have to?
Edit: I stand corrected!
Totally playing with this now. :P "06Bon06;13594198" wrote:

AH okay, I finally got that alt thing to work, I just can't have my cursor on the object that I'm trying to place it on or else it will try to default place it on the grid."TheKryptoKnight;13594207" wrote:

In TS3 they had a cheat that allowed you to ignore the grid, I was wondering if they had it on this one too."FFX2Paine506;13594202" wrote:

Holding the alt button while placing allows you to place an object where you want with much more freedom"06Bon06;13594214" wrote:

Thank you for that! At first when I used alt I didn't exactly know how to use it so I only thought you could rotate however you wanted with it, but now I got it to work :)"FFX2Paine506;13594213" wrote:
