Not sure why you resurrected this old thread, but the money cheats do work.

First enter:
testingcheats true

Then enter
money {amount of money you want them to have}
for example: money 10000
or
sims.modify_funds {+/- amount}
for example: sims.modify_funds -20000

Just enter money xxx
Here is an example: money 300
If that doesn’t work then type in testingcheats true first.
