With the new patch coming out, it's time to check your mods all over again, otherwise nobody will feel bad for you when your game crashes.This 'Refresh' will not just be changing the games of people with Spa Day. It's changing Base Game too. With our new finger and toenails sections, CAS is receiving changes to Accessories - if you have a mod in your Accessories, especially one for nails, it will probably mess with your CAS. Hey, don't worry, with nails being base game, it'll be minutes before people start making fancy new nail designs.And there's changes being made to Toddlers too. They can use nail polish, and rings, and Wellness will be affecting them! Your Toddler mods may be messed with too.As usual, it's time to clear out your Mods, and don't be surprised if you have to remove some of your CAS.Because bugs are bugs, but mods are mods and Maxis couldn't make all of your mods fit with their patches even if they tried.

I actually just updated my game for the July patch. I spent a couple of hours cleaning out my mods folder and updating everything. I'm excited about the new patch, but I'll be putting Origin in offline mode again for a couple of days while everything gets updated.

There are fingernails now? How would you even be able to see them unless you have a huge monitor? ?

I will, and I will wait to update until I have seen if this update will bring any bugs...because for all we know this could break Spa Day, Maxis QA department have left a lot to be desired lately...

There are fingernails now? How would you even be able to see them unless you have a huge monitor? ?

They look very long in the pictures I've seen. But, unless they did what they did to show the different varieties of shape, not all the nails are the same. Gr. I hate that. I will, and I will wait to update until I have seen if this update will bring any bugs...because for all we know this could break Spa Day, Maxis QA department have left a lot to be desired lately...

They have short nails, rounded slightly longer nails, almond nails, stiletto nails, and I think what are called coffin nails, square tip. They come in shiny and matte unicolours and in multicolour/patterned swatches.

There's a toenails section coming to CAS and so I can only assume we get Pedicures as well in Spa Day. Also, there are a variety of lengths of fingernails in the pictures - Spa Day provides the extra fancy long ones and Manicures which apparently have the gameplay of gradual decay. But there are a few shapes in Base Game too.

However it's a change to CAS - not the biggest in the world, but definitely something that will affect your Accessories Mods. No need for any fingernail mods any more!

The nice thing about nails in Base Game is that we may get more nails in the future. Different textures in pack refreshes, or hideous claws for our occult creatures. It's like when we got Teeth. You don't notice unless you zoom in tight, but hey, that's what the Photography career is for! And hey, fancy fingernails works well with Get Famous.

I'd actually just moved a bunch of mods out to my desktop (I was trying to see if an issue I was having was mod related) so guess I'll leave them there. Don't use any CAS CC so at least I don't have to worry about that -- the one mod I worry about breaking is UI Cheats and that breaks if you look at it sideways. ?
