Chestnut Ridge is not in the American Southwest
It gets cold and snows. So where is this supposed to be, more like the plains? Colorado?

I lived in Vegas for 20 years and it does snow, on occasion. It only lasts a day, it's pretty though.
I get the vibe of the Northwest and upper MidWestern areas...Wyoming, Montana, Idaho. It doesn't matter really, very nice scenery.
