- amapola76Seasoned HotshotI still can't say I'm wildly enthused about a desert world, but it does look pretty, for what it is; I really like the natural bridge over the small waterfall. And a western world is a good opportunity for Native American representation, so that's a plus. I suppose I also have a few cabins and farmhouses that haven't fit into any of the other worlds, so it will be nice to have a chance to use those, at least if there are enough lots.
This is what worries me, though:"Nicocacola1992;c-18279651" wrote:
"Sims can explore by trotting their way down a long and winding trail or by going downtown to New Appaloosa, ride around Riders' Glen, the Ranches’ Neighborhood. Be sure to check out Galloping Gulch, the National Park Neighborhood, which features plenty of scenic trails through the large rock formations as well as campfire spots and picnic areas. Your Sim may come across Dreadhorse Caverns where the adventurous can enter and try their luck at exploring!"
That all sounds really cool at first glance, but if you look closer, it definitely implies that horses will be locked this one world... or, at most, that maybe you can have them on your home lots in other worlds, but not ride them around in the world at all. So that would be hugely disappointing. - AlanMckenzie123New SpectatorI love the obvious nod to The Sims 3 Pets with that Appaloosa district name.

Any new harvest or recipe, what else is new added?? Because I don't see anything different but the obvious.
They mention in the blog there is prairie grass you can harvest to feed your horses and that there are some native American dishes. - handelgamerSeasoned TravelerI do actually enjoy a desert world and Strangerville is one of my favorites. I'll keep an eye out for how the lots shake out.
- Love the echoes of northern Arizona/New Mexico and southern Utah! My husband and I took a road trip holiday there a few years ago and absolutely loved it. But now I'm craving frybread. (If anyone wants to know, the best EVER burger is served on frybread from a truck in a village roughly southwest of Los Alamos.)
- SEREFRASSeasoned VeteranI actually like this new world so far. Plus it reminds me of my old Appaloosa Plains.
I’m so looking forward to having my PrairieCree Peasant along with her round Cabin home move from Brindleton Bay to Chestnut Ridge.?
Also, I’m thinking of making my Zorro & his wife Esmeralda again for the new world. I tried to play them over 6 years ago in Oasis Springs but it wasn’t working well without horses.?Now they will!??? - Karamazov123Seasoned Hotshot

4 builders, if(IF) they each did 3 lots, that's 12 lots. Chances are there will be atleast a couple empty lots which means we may actually get a world with more than 12 lots!
Doctor Ashley, Ninni, Chrissie and Simproved made 3 lots each.

So we'll have at least 12 lots, more if we get those empty spots. But considering 12 has been the magic number for the past few years, I expect that to be the number of lots we get in this pack. - elizabethjane818New NoviceLooks like the new world is going to have some connection to the Sims 3 world Appaloosa Plains. I didn’t play that expansion pack. Did anyone here play that pack and looking forward to recreating old sims from there? Any lore we should know about?
- SEREFRASSeasoned VeteranYup! The only lore I remember from my Sims 3 Pets were the Unicorns.?
- The name Chestnut Ridge comes from the reddish-brown horse coat color Chestnut.
