- GalacticGalSeasoned AceSometimes it takes forever. That's my main beef with the whole restaurant thing in this game. In RL the whole breakfast dinging out experience can take about an hour, tops. Sometimes, depending on the restaurant (mostly its managerial staff) and how crowded it is, dinner can take a couple of hours. Longer than that, most people walk out. I only let my Sims go out to dine when there's nothing pressing they have to do or somewhere else they must be.
- JanuaryGarnet08New SpectatorI take my Sims out for dinner around noon, especially if I want them to go somewhere after, like dancing or kareoke. Breakfast if they go out I take them around 5 a.m. & lunch around 10 a.m.
- @Bronwin2 I have a few restaurants that I made that are all tested and run well (I made them for my Sims to own and run):
• Simoleons for Everyone" and is very upscale/Get Famous oriented. It also has a ballroom/banquet room and seating/speaking upstairs for events & weddings or whatever use you want... by copying or moving tables from downstairs to the ballroom floor upstairs you can just use it to expand dining space.) You can add a celebrity door to the front door or downstairs dining room if you like, but if you add it to the front door the owners need to use the back door (but employees can go in and out of the restrictive door), but you could not use it for weddings with a restrictive door, as the general public couldn't get in then (unless you adjust the door settings during an event/wedding). Lock the back door to everyone but employees. Have fun!
• Chefs Choice Fine Dining
• Seaside Inn Fine Dining
I hope maybe there will be something amongst these you will find suitable for your needs. Enjoy! <3 - Thanks. I'll try them all.
- Umm...maybe explain what you mean. It's a restaurant, it should be the norm to get a meal there. Or are you having the problem described in this thread: https://forums.thesims.com/en_us/discussion/947960/chez-llama-worst-service-ever?

Haha, that made me smile. Did you write that on purpose? - What I mean is that it takes forever. I almost never go to that lot and ift it come up in a date I almost always leave before the food arrives. It's absurd.
- @bronwin2, yah, that's what I figured you meant.
If you are willing to use mods, the mod that makes cooking faster on restaurant lots helps a little: https://littlemssam.tumblr.com/post/175412396783/random-small-mods-sometimes-mods-are-sooo-small - ldm2New SpectatorI've never had a problem getting a meal there, but there's been a couple of times at Villa Bovine & L'Attente Bistro that my sims never got their food. I had to cancel the meal & send them to one of the food stands in the city to keep them from starving.
- I never go out to restaurants. In my current save however, my character is trying to date a foodie so that they can open their own restaurant together. The only restaurant I've been to is Chez Llama (I went twice and never went back) because someone will invite my Sim to dinner at 6 and we won't recieve the food until midnight!
