Chicken: Does anyone play a bird provider?
I like adding lots of rules to my game, obviously too many at times, but it makes for various ways to play this game. My sims already need to own a Deed to be allowed to sell produce directly from inventory. Right now I consider adding restrictions to the chicken department; allowing NOBODY to buy chicken by clicking on the coop, but rather have a chicken farm raising the birds for everyone. Those having a rooster can of course still reproduce the coop population, but others must go to that chicken farm to buy the birds they want. It may sound tedious, but my sims very rarely add new birds to their coop, so these rules will not affect every farmer in my game that often.
The challenge will be for the providing chicken farm to raise enough birds of all species at any time. I do have a few cc species and if they don't reproduce the cc specie (but the specie they were based on technically, I'll need to cheat in new birds for those few sorts, but only at the main chicken farm.
When another household wants to add a chicken, the main farmer will invite them over, then gift them what they desire, and the pay will be handled with money cheat.
Now I wonder if anyone tried this in their game? It's only possible with chicken, as cows and llamas don't reproduce. For dogs and cats it could be done, but it would become restrictive due to few available household member slots and so many animal species.
