Clarifying Questions about DU

Hey guys!

I've been watching a bunch of livestreams and the intro videos by Simtubers but there are a couple of questions that I still need clarifying, so if you all managed to pick up on the answers to them somewhere it'd be greatly appreciated:

1.) Electives...Do they count towards the sim's 12 class graduation requirement?
2.) Is there a list somewhere that details what careers one can get a head start in with a degree in (insert major here)?
3.) You can change Uni's per each term right? In order to get a distinguished degree?

Thanks everyone!

    This might help answer those questions https://simscommunity.info/2019/11/11/the-sims-4-discover-university-game-changers-simguru-qa/
  • For the 2nd question I'm not sure if theres a list floating around as of yet but I believe you can get a head start on every career on every career in game so far expect for the GTW ones.

    Do you remember what gave you that impression? When the gurus said there was a major for all the old careers, I thought ‘all’ would include GTW ones. When you choose a major it describes the perks above the class selection dropdowns. If a major benefits you for 3 specific career branches they should all work the same way.
  • 1) Yes
    2) I don't have a full list, but I know that Biology is for: Botanist, Bodybuilder, Doctor, Marine Biologist;
    Computer Science is for Computer Engineer, Freelance Programmer, Oracle and Start-up Enterpreneur;
    Economics — Administrator (new educational career), Investor, Environmental Manager;
    Physics – Mechanical Engineer, Scientist, Space Ranger;
    Villainy — Boss, Interstellar Smuggler, Villain;
    Language and Literature — Freelance Writer, Author, Private Attorney.
    Edit: History is for Judge and Psychology is for Diamond Agent and Professor, but I saw this in English Simmer's video and she only had Uni&Basegame, so no additional careers.

    Sorry not GTW ones but the IL ones. (Odd jobs)

    In that case I believe that’s correct!
    There’s another thread in here that confirmed a GTW career listed in the majors, too, so that’s a relief.
