Clingy Trait

My Sim child just developed this trait! And I can't figure out how to get rid of it. Or is it one of my Sim child's new traits? She just developed it a Sim week ago.

I'm playing a household that's a single mother, and her only daughter. My Sim's husband died.

  • And I think that just happened. I opened up my game save file, and played a little bit with it, and when I checked my Sim child she no longer has the clingy phase, it had to have gone away on its own
  • Good thing. :D At least it only gave the kid a tense moodlet when they're separated.

It might be possible that encouraging/discouraging certain behavior can shorten a phase, but it hasn't happened to me yet.

Oh my gosh I'm in same exact situation XD. I made a mother and daughter relationship and made it to where the father died so he's out of the picture. I have them in an apartment. The child has the clingy phase right now. Has went through it twice :/ she has a best friend that she plays with often so how do you even avoid this phase? Also, how do you correct it? She's not a toddler either, she's a child. The mother works at night in culinary business. So the daughter is home alone at nights. Maybe that's why? I dk. Any tips would be helpful!

I rather have the clingy trait then the bear one.

lol that's funny. I haven't experienced that phase yet.
    Sounds interesting though.
  • The best thing to do for the bear phase is to just let them be a bear. When they get sad, let them tell themselves it's ok to be a bear. It gets over much quicker that way. I hate the loud phase!
