Actually I've been playing The Sims 2, and in The Sims 2 if a Sim can't get through a door or around a Sim, they complain to us by waving their arms around and give up the option. You then have to tell the Sim to do the same action again.
It's not better than The Sims 4's solution, especially when I switch Sims in the Sims 2 and find that my Sim didn't do what I told them to do because someone was in the way.
And guys remember they are playing the BETA. I remember playing the Sims 3 BETA when it leaked and it had 1000x more glitches than this. And they managed to only fix a small amount before release.
If The Sims 4 has only 1 major problem in the BETA form, rather than hundreds of bugs, it should be easy to fix :)
