For me no, it's totally unacceptable and here is why, my Sims in TS2 don't go through counters or walk through each other when trying to pass, and if this is somebody's idea of better routing then I have news, No, TS2 Sims don't have that many routing failures unless I block them with objects on purpose. So, No, it's lame.
Hi! I know you love TS2 and so do I, but there is clipping in TS2, I am not going to bring any TS2 pics here, I am just not in the mood, but there is it, though it seems to be far worse in TS4. In TS2 sims tend to abandone there actions quicker tan in TS3, instead of tapping feet, but there were also routing failures , meanly with NPCs, have you never had your butler or gardener turning endlessly around a bush? stuck in one action since you send a playing sim to talk to it and it turns off the action, it happens to me all the time...
An small amount of clipping is somehow unavoidable (all and evry game has it) but I hope all that huge amount of clipping we have seen in the reviewer videos is somehow fixed in the final versión, because if not TS4 will have so much clipping that it would look like a joke!
Bushes are placed by you, if your butler can't get around them, that's your fault. ETA: However you may be referring to a bug with the butlers trimming which sent them into an endless loop..fixed in a later patch, problem solved. I would suggest to you to install all your patches, EPs in Order not out of Order, don't install buggy M&G, Buggy Kit and Bath, Buggy Teen Life Stuff, or buggy Celebrations. Those all had bugs in them which EA left some unfixed due to working on TS3.
