clothing options for elders

Yes! I was just thinking it today when I was trying to create third everyday outfit for my elder twins. I would like to have some longer skirts and dresses with sleeves.

I haven't played elders in months but when I do I dress them in younger clothes. when I get to be elderly I hope I will still wear trendy clothes, just because I'm old I don't have to dress or behave old.

Mmm I would like some elderly clothes. Teenagers, Young adults, Adults and Elders all have exactly the same clothes. It is cool that all life stages have access to all clothes, but it does cause that all life stages dress the same and that can get inappropriate or not be the look you are going for.
It would be nice if we get some cute elderly-style clothes like long skirts, feminine suits, Granny-panties etc. in pastel colours, powdery colours and florally styles, which is what I associate with elders. Some old-fashioned mens' clothes like overalls, undershirts, bow-ties, snazzy ties, shiny brown shoes etc. would be adorable for those cute Grampies too.

Some elderly hairstyles would also be really cute. A bunch of bun-related hairstyles for the grannies, as well as some elegant bobs and an adorable hairstyle with curlers in.
Come-overs, bald spot hairstyles and other old-fashioned styles for men, as well as that really old-fashioned brown hat that guys always wear in old movies.

These would be absolutely adorable and I hope we get them in a Generations pack. I wouldn't want to buy a SP for it though. But these would be so so cute and make the elders feel more like, well, elders. Partnered with some elderly gameplay like knitting, NEWSPAPERS, special "Granny's cookies" recipe, LANDLINES etc. would make them feel really special. Show the elders some love!

I just realised I never play old sims..

I don't mean the clothes have to be boring or anything, it's just that I kinda miss that grandma ish clothing too. Not every old sim has a young mind ;) so I wish there was more to choose from, and that they had their own clothes and not just the same as the younger once. They could still be sexy and all that but would be cool with some clothes that are reserved for the elder sims :)

Knitting isn't just for elderly people, lots of young people knit as well. Newspapers, landlines, etc. are also not just for elderly people. I'm not elderly and I still read newspapers, have a landline, knit, etc.

I agree, though. Elderly Sims should have more things for them that are more geared towards their life stage.

I don't know I just don't want those boring, bland, outfits, that scream "Lonely! except my 39 cats" or "Kill me Now" I still want elders to have that sense of style, and occasional sexiness.

Same with toddlers and kids, I still wish they had a better fashionable choice.

I guess it all depends on what you consider age-appropriate styles.

I've realised I never initially play Elder Sims. I only do when it's a dear Sim I've played with until they reach that age, then I give them all the attention before they move onto the afterlife. I usually give them regal attire, primarily consisting of Custom Content. I always give the men waistcoats, bow-ties and top hats. The women are generally donned in long gowns, sun dresses, pearls and pinned updos. I usually find all my content for Elders on Tumblr.
