Hi :)
I really hate keyboard controlled games. It would annoy the heck out of me.
I just want good routing.
Good routing is also important IMO. But it would be like the consoles: both ways to control (direct via arrows, and classic via clicking objects) are included and it would be easy to switch controls in game, so you can combine both of them to get the best results. That way it's also possible to not use direct controls.
It seems like with every suggestion I seem to read here, it can be optional.
I'm sure the whole game could be optional... Oh, yeah- it is.
Still don't want it and don't like it for this game. - No I wouldn't want it in my game either.
- Yet another thread wanting to turn 'The Sims' a point and click, sandbox game into yet another genre, and platform. Console/Adventure game...characters controlled by the keyboard..RPG..genre...
Why am I not surprised. :? Alysha1988 wrote:
I only like keyboard controls like that in a game where I'm sort of playing AS the character I'm controlling. I would HATE those controls for a PC sims game. I don't nor do I want to feel like I'm playing as a certain character, I'm controlling them. Also I like to play more than one sim at a time and I like to queue up actions for everyone and then let them go through those interactions while I'm maybe focusing on another sim or whatever. I feel like direct keyboard control like that would make the game feel more limited.
I'm with you. That is what I like about sims on the PC. I would hate having to move my sim family with arrow keys all the time. Not to say it is a bad idea for other games. But for sims, there is generally far too much going on at times to have to move each individual sim with arrow keys all the time.pguida wrote:

Being rude, are we now?RAE2786 wrote:
I would so love that. I actually first fell in love with the series through the console games, it was a lot of fun!

Are you talking about yourself? Because calling people rude for just expressing their opinion on a subject is very impolite and rude. I said that I hated the 'idea', which by no means is a personal comment on anyone. It's just how I feel about the 'idea'. I could love it, like it, be indifferent about it, dislike it or hate it. I chose the later. That's how I feel. Excuse-me, please.
:? Erm, I was talking about you.
There are people who are opposed to this idea, of course, but go and look at the way they said it. There's a difference.
Sorry if you felt I was jumping down your throat, concluded by the way you reacted, but I just didn't see this being normal, or polite. I saw it as being a blunt, ignorant response- that's all.- Snurfles12 years agoNew AdventurerI don't like console games because I suck at arrow controls so I would have to say no to this. And I wouldn't want it optional either because the more optional game play they put in the game, the more I can see it having related bugs. Really, for those want the game on console so much, maybe EA could just make a separate console game? Just thinking out loud - nobody get mad at me okay?
- Haven't they said they spent a lot of time improving the routing for TS4, so we wouldn't have the issues we do with TS3?
So essentially this would be a fix for an issue that might not even exist anymore? - as long it isn't necessary because it is hard for my to use the arrows I can barely play as it is
