Quite frankly, Disney is struggling right now, so I doubt they have the funding to make such a purchase. Their stocks have tanked most recently.

It's most likely an official Discord for the Sims 4, which I think it totally rad.
It will open up a lot more options. Phone calls and video are possible plus a lot more.
I was thinking the other day prior how there isn't one prior, because I am already on so many discords of Simmers streamers and content creators.

I don't think I'd join a discord for The Sims as I find simmers in the wild to be nasty. I really only participate here on the forum and in low-sodium simmers on Reddit. I love the game and dislike scrolling through tons of game bashing.

If you take his words literally (which he said that the ''hint'' had much more to it and was quite literal) I wouldn't be surprised that the Sims is moving to Discord for all their communication with the community and leave 'X' behind. I mean, I wouldn't blame them, because some CEO is not helping that platform and you will never know what he comes up with next.

By moving to Discord they have at least some more control over their content and stuff. Discord seems to be in a way more stable position.

Same. I also love this game. Aside from the rare glitch my game runs as it is supposed to.

If it is a discord I hope it doesn't negatively impact the forums. I feel like there are already so few people on here, I would hate to lose even more.

See, now, I saw the word "discord" and immediately wondered whether it was a play on words about music, because we are getting a band pack.

"Cause a lot of discord" meaning that our poor sims would make quite a racket as they learn their new instruments and/or learn to play well together.

I don’t imagine it would affect the forums that much, unless they plan to shut it down or something. I hope not, I go to the forums with a lot of questions on the game. I would think, like someone else mentioned, that it might just be the sims replacement for Twitter/X.

I don’t use X, but a sims discord I might.

You raise a good point, a Discord would be awesome.
