The only Sims in the game can be arrested are the NPCs that are (I'd assume) randomly chosen to be in the cases that active detective Sims play. I think I remember a guru answered that they can be arrested for theft, vandalizing stuff, and arson in the last ask-a-guru session. I can find the post if you're interested.

From what I've heard, only "unplayed Sims" can be arrested. What I'd like to know is if that simply means "any non-active sim" or if it means "sims in houses that one hasn't played yet"... or if it means "specific criminal NPCs generated for the point of the plot." Can anyone clarify this?

Well I doubt its the last one you suggested, Ned was shown getting arrested in a trailer.

Well, that's good at least. Although I wouldn't doubt that it's possible that some of the criminals are generated randomly for the job, since I remember hearing that some of the patients for the hospital career would be new randomly generated sims as well.

I really hope that my inactive, played sims can become criminals for the job, otherwise there goes my possible storytelling plans.

Do you think it's possible to create a mod for this? I understand that there are no NPC's that are policemen but still, it would've been nice for our sims to get arrested. Now that I think about it, there is not a lot of gameplay or ways available for our sims to get arrested :-/ (for example: purposely start a fire, theft, vandalism) this is probably why our sims cannot get arrested because I mean...what can they do?

It would be fun if there was "Rob store" option for... Kleptomaniacs or unstable?

I was already doing a story in my mind about a girl that I have in game that found out her "boyfriend" had a wife and kids lol plus he started flirting with her. He was also kinda mean dubious character. She would love for a knight ergh I mean policemen to save her from this douche if he arrest him he will get what he deserve lol I think
