Corner lots "front" defaults

Yes, I've had this problem quite a lot, particularly when the lot I want to use already has a house. When I bulldoze the house, it takes the mailbox with it, and I can never remember where it was (I have a terrible sense of direction). And, sometimes, the mailbox that the developers placed on the lot is nowhere near the rabbit hole.

It's annoying when I want a wider house with less depth, but the lot is turned the wrong way. My legacy family has been in their current house for about 12 generations (partly because they've collected so much junk valuable curios, I don't even want to think about moving them and having to sort through the household inventory for stuff to keep and stuff to be replaced with shiny new stuff). I placed the house the wrong way, and my kids waste a good half of an hour walking from the rabbit hole to the jungle gym in the solarium.
