Cottage Living Animals & Ageing Off

I really want to get Cottage Living, however, I play with ageing off and never have death in my game.
I realise that SimGuruRomeo said this "Animals will eventually die of old age, but there are ways to keep them alive forever if you choose." but I wanted to find out if anyone got more info from people they saw playing the pack as I know some simmers get early access.
Does ageing off affect the new animals?
