@EmmaVane meant that aubergine is the British/French word for eggplant. It’s like how British people call zucchini “courgettes” instead.

Re eggplants/aubergines - I'm in Norway and we too call it Aubergine. First time i heard about eggplant was probably in some edition of the sims :)
