I mean why not? A 64x64 lot wouldn't be big enough if we got an amusement park pack. The rides alone would take up a lot of space. I would definely love lot sizes this big. Eg 74x74 or 84x84. It was said recently they were testing this feature to see how it's working.
Where?
On Twitter. Grant said it. "marcel21;c-16707427" wrote:

I can easily imagine a Luna Park size carnival in 64x64. Ring it with a roller coaster, then there's plenty of room in the middle.

I would love a new sub hood like this
you would need a hood to fit all that in the sims 4."stilljustme2;c-16705319" wrote:

Yes. <3
Also, I hope that the developers will consider objects with smaller footprints. Some things in the TS4 are disproportionately large for their intended purpose. If objects had reasonably-sized footprints, it would be possible to have more activities on a lot.
For example, compare the arcade games and pinball machines from the previous games to the size of the one monstrous arcade machine that was released for TS4. I would much prefer to have a variety of smaller objects than one huge object that shows up on practically every lot because there are no other options.
Another example are the dining booths. The corner seats takes up so much space, yet they can only fit two Sims? As large as they are, they could have seated, at least, four! I had hoped to see sectional sofas again. However, I'm scared to think how humongous they'll be. :/
Aside from the above, a 64x64 lot could hold plenty.
The arcade machine is large because it's designed for 4 Sims to play simultaneously, like this RL arcade game:
https://i.pinimg.com/564x/0f/67/aa/0f67aa04dbd7f6e363a56f595a8cc531.jpg
because it came in Get Together which was focused on groups of Sims doing things together. I could see a University pack possibly including smaller arcade games, such as we had in Sims 3.
I understand the concept behind it. But there was no option for something smaller. That large console doesn't fit in smaller types of builds.
As well, if the Gurus wanted to foster more...getting together...they could have also done something like what was in TS2 (?). IIRC, Sims could watch each other play pinball and arcade games.
It would have been cool for Sims to alternate on the consoles, like how they do for darts. When one Sims isn't playing, they could have leaned on the console and talked to the other player -- distract them, make fun of them, or critique their play and such.
Likewise, it would have been nice to see Sim-sized telescope and a functional tabletop microscope. I appreciate that the devs were trying to do something different. However, there are other options besides making such large items that are hard to fit into certain builds."AlbaWaterhouse;c-16704228" wrote:

Which amazingly enough you could do on Sims 2. My go to was a Night Club on the home lot. Made a load of money everytime by just simply charging for sims to be there.- MovottiNew Spectator

Nah, mate, it's freaking tiny!. Reshape the layout to a square, and it easily fits in 64x64 - catloverplayerSeasoned Ace

Ok I meant a new feature not this feature. Auto Correction caught me unaware. I meant Grant said they were testing a new feature not this new feature. I've edited the first post. - I hope so I want to build several estates for my Sims.
For now the idea stems from The Werewolf GP I hope.
My hope is a Forest World may come with the Life State.
You may think Granite falls covers this, But I need a Forest World I can live in.
There would be about at least 4 lots, all ranging above 64x64.
Picture a Forest Map in the Sims 4.
To the Far west (Left) would be a Lake Side Lot.
This Is Jordan Mansion, Home to my werewolf Sims

Now that I look at this build, I realize I need a lot about the Size of Windenburg Isle to build this estate fully.
the concept of the mansion comes from X-men evolution, The Xavier Institute,
https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/marvelanimated/images/d/d0/Xavier_Estate_XME.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20170220202345
and
Mt Vernon Estate

So, I need a big lot to satisfy this build. I want to build the Wall that encompasses the property, not like how in Vampires, forgotten hollow, The Mansion at the top of the hill, it's Property is Public Space.
Central-North of the Forest Map, is going to be an estate. Maybe a tad smaller, but is going to be located on a mountain side, overlooking the forest at it's south face with the Lake lot far to the southwest.
from the Lake Mansion, there is a river running though the center of the Map, below the Mountain Estate.
we come to a Plains Mansion, at the edge of the forest.
For this Estate the concept is the White House in 1812.
to the East, of the map is a large valley and there another mansion.
Well if the Farming GP were to happen My hope is that it would have a French, Italian, Country Side. but the entire neighborhood/World is Basically farmland, at least or bigger than 64x64 Lot for the "Farm Owner" and then that lot overlooks hundreds of acres of farmland, orchards, vineyards, of all different lot sizes. Mine would have a grand chateau overlooking the farm and it would be primarily a Vineyard, Orchard, maybe with a Wheat Maze and hopefully Live Stock
When a Sorcerer GP Happens, I may actually be pro "Medieval" for this world. but a modern Medieval.
a world where Castles and Fantasy and Modern technology. can coexist.
as well as a Large 100x100 lot, I may need more floor heights. I just built a castle myself.

and I you like to build up as well as out.

love the house <3 B)
