To me, they are very similar. The sink piece with both farmhouse sink styles. The island corners with the open shelving. The counter corners with the open shelving/hiding area combo. Even something about the color swatches and the wood countertops are similar. The CoL appliances look a bit more dated tho.
Both sets look like they were inspired by the other.
Idk if they saw the success of the Country Kitchen kit and was like “cool, let’s add another one to the pack.” Or if they were created around the same time and they basically left out one set intentionally to sell on its own. I mean, since CoL would have been in development for a longer period of time, I would think that they would have known that they would go with this style, meaning they knew at the release of CK that they’d be offering a similar set. But since I don’t really understand the process of the development, I don’t know.
I prefer the CoL kitchen set tho. I don’t think I’d buy the CK one.
