Not to mention that it can take a toll on your computer. I have a really good gaming computer that easily runs games like Baldur's Gate 3 or Starfield - no problem, though both games are huge (think 130 GB). Sims 4? All three ventilators are running at high speed, and not because the game is larger than the other two (with almost all packs installed, it's about half the size of either) but because the computer needs a lot of its processing power to run it smoothly. Hound's Head is especially challenging, because it's a huge lot, I currently have five Sims and a dog living there, the place is cluttered as hell and has outdoor stuff like a pool and a greenhouse, not to mention a small adjacent building with a sauna and a whirlpool.

No. I don't want to do another event. I don't feel like I can just enjoy my game anymore.
This kind of pressure is why I stopped playing Freeplay. The difference is I have lots of money invested in this game. Either give me the items or sell them to me.

Happy you are happy, but try being compassionate to your fellow sim players who are clearly unhappy.
Frankly, I am unhappy about the events because its broken. I was unable to participate in the Reaper Event because the troubleshooting instructions didn't work for me. The exclusive BB/CAS looked amazing and it is bad business what EA is doing. As someone who owns every pack and kit (and has been playing since Sims 1) i want those items issued to everyone. I want events postponed until more bug fixes are are posted. I want the events to actually work for everyone ...not just a select few.
If the game is too buggy/broken to handle events, then SDX drops and scenarios need to return until EA can fix their product... because they are literally destroying it with these events and pushing away lifelong players.
Again, happy you are happy, but it is bigger than just a few players being negative. The game in it's current state is unplayable and there should be more QA opportunities for these issues to finally get resolved. There is a bug in the game that has been there since 2016...2016!

Glowing Eyes will not transfer and are locked to the EA account that unlocked them.

Hello! I am a huge fan of the sims and I have been playing since Sims 1 when I was 15 years old. You could say I am addicted and I have been a customer for life 😂
...but not anymore.
I currently own Sims 4 on Xbox Series X and I own every pack/kit, except for the last 2 kits that released. Since I do not have access to mods, I used to look forward to new content, even if it wasn't my favorite. The Reaper Event actually sounded fun at first and the exclusive BB and CAS looked amazing. That feeling of optimism changed quickly to frustration after the Reaper Event began. Not only did the event feel like jumbled fetch quests and very lackluster, but the event broke after week 3 for me. Even after following the troubleshooting instructions provided by EA_Cade I was never able to participate again.
Trust me, I tried everything. I was reinstalling my game daily at one point. I checked the forums and social media with high hopes, but nothing useful. I gave up eventually, stopped playing as much and didn't buy the last 2 kits, hoping EA would realize the error and make things right...but they never did.
Instead, for weeks I watched influencers on PC have no problem completing the event and show off the exclusive content. Sure, they acknowledged a few players had issues, but then would quickly move on to continuing to promote a broken game. Meanwhile, I received consistent pop up notifications about the Reaper Event every time I booted up the game... but never the items I so desperately wanted and clearly tried hard to obtain.
Moral of the story? Do not give EA your money anymore, not until they start fixing major issues...like the events.
If they issue the items to everyone and make an official statement/apology, then I will consider shelling out more of my hard earned dollars. Until then, not another dime...
...so, could EA please do the right thing? Could they please be good to their loyal fans? Protect this product? Or will they destroy the Sims 4 by accident and be forced to make Sims 5?
Either way, I feel robbed and I miss my happy place. Sims 4 was my refuge and now it's a deluge of bugs and broken events. I will continue posting about these issues in every forum and official social media post until EA makes a statement and makes things right. I may just have to join discord again and start ranting there too! 🤬
FIX IT DICE/MAXIS/EA ...please 😭

Couldn't have said it better. I quit sims freeplay for the same reason. I was convinced that switching to a paid game like sims 4 would be more upfront in the sense that you get what you pay for with no pressure on real life time.

The hoops required for me to complete the Grim rewards was silly. This has made me very hesitant to be excited for another new event. I DO like them, but they also NEED to function better. Also the ability to turn off the event on our ui would be very welcome. Then those who do not want or have already completed the event are not forced to stare at the constant reminder.

I did exactly the same thing.
