Custom Skin Swatches are not Cross Save Compatible

Question

After playing around with the new skin patch, I've noticed that all my custom saved skin only appear in the save file I've created them in, so I'm not able to use them in all my other save files. Can anyone else test this to see if this is true in their games?

I have a save that's devoted to building and playtesting builds, also testing when there's a new patch to see what mods might be broken; I could use that for Sims creation as well.

Yes, that's true. Very inconvenient.I had to create a “CAS save” for making sims, ehh.

This is surprising. Good to know. If we save a sim to the library and place them in another save and save the custom skin again. Would that work?
