Question

Do any of you keep track of your sims in programs like Excel? If you do, what program do you use besides Excel?

I'm currently using Excel and it's decent, but clunky for my needs. I like having pictures to go along with my sims and links that jump from the home page to the family pages and then to individual character pages. I'm 14 gens in and excel is finally starting to bog down.

I use Excel as well. But only for data, no pictures.

I have all the aspirations in an excel ready to start my supersim (almost ready to start, just need to finish my starter save first). and I use the plum family tree program to get a decent family tree.

I go old school and just write everything down in notebooks. I've gone through a lot of them over the years. I use family echo to keep track of family trees as well.Edit: spelling

I used to use One Note back when I did such things. Pictures and tables and anything else you like can go in there.

You could use excel to store your data and use mail merge to create pretty looking character sheets for your Sims in word.
