Death By Anger

I did this on purpose just to see if the "Cardiac Explosion" death was real. And that's exactly what happened. The living sim should get some long-lasting positive moodlets for witnessing the demise of their enemy.

They can laugh at their enemies graves which gives a buff.

How angry does a sim have to be? I mean I've been thinking of killing off a sim recently and now the only question is how.

Honestly, I don't know why but in my game I have purposefully tried to kill a sim by anger....he just didn't die. Then finally, after MANY interactions he died. I tried it again with another sim and it just didn't happen, so I gave up. :(

me i made the choice to keep death turn off i relly dispise any kind of death in the game and i also prefer to keep my sims living for ever

I resorted to using a mod (MCCC) to kill a Sim in my game. I'm playing out the lives of some of my ancestors and it was time for Granddaddy Hawkins to leave us. He arrived at the family gathering in a bit of a snit. So, I chose Death by Anger. He grabbed his chest and keeled over. I'm guessing heart-attack. In RL, he made out his final will in early September 1770, died about two to three weeks later on 28 Sept. 1770. Have no clue what took him.

@friendlysimmers, I get where you're at. Back when I was first playing Sims2 (which is where I started my Sims Odyssey) I was experiencing a bit of a phenomenon in my life. Starting with the death of my own father (curiously on the 27 of September and it's his line of ancestors I'm playing), over a period of 2 1/2 years I kept losing people in my own circle. The best friend of my parents passed away on Christmas day that same year and it seemed as if I kept losing people every six weeks to a couple of months afterwards. Had to put down the family dog and when my daughter and I got back, we learned the Godfather to both of my sons had passed away that same day. :O 16 people in all over that time period. I'm still wondering how I kept my head above water.

So, to say I cried when I lost Sims in my game would be an understatement. Which is also why I deleted the game and started them anew. I just couldn't take it.

I've never gotten my Sim to anything more than Very Angry even though he's a hothead who gets +2 Anger from seeing his stepfather and +2 Anger from loud noise and guess what, he has one very noisy neighbor: his stepfather. :joy: So he's Very Angry very often. Also had him fight with dear ol' stepdaddy but things never progressed to furious, let alone enraged.

He did come home from school Enraged once because of a mood swing, but he very easily survived. He's also been Mortified because of mood swings several times actually, but this was also easy to deal with.

He's been Hysterical once because he's a chief of mischief and his wife a goofball, but this too went away fairly soon. He's also been Mortified after an embarrassing conversation with a love interest who'd caught him cheating and I didn't even have him calm down or anything, but again, he lived.

So either my Sim is just extremely durable, or these emotional deaths are not at all as "dangerous" as some say. :lol:

Parenthood added the Mood Swings for Teens, and they don't die from them. So I guess that means that Teens can't die from Emotion if you have this Pack. Does anyone know if they can die from Emotion without Parenthood? I've never had a Teen die from Emotion.

I was setting up a new household for a townie sim that was living in the YA bachelorette apartment with a female sim from my main family and for the first time in my game play. She immediately dropped dead after woohoo with her new husband of hysterical death. He was able to get the grim reaper to revive her but she dropped dead again, so I exited to main menu without saving and upon reloading the game had her calm down in the mirror this time.

I then installed the no emotional death mod. I have had sims die in game unexpectedly by fire, and just went with it, but was not up for it this time.

I have MCC, so can kill sims anytime I want.

I'm not entirely sure the resurrection of an already dead Sim is an answer. I had my Detective's partner, so to speak, drop dead. He was able to deal with Grimmie and the partner was resurrected. However, shortly thereafter they went on a call to investigate a crime, and said partner dropped dead again by the pool! I don't put much stock in only getting a couple of Sim hours more. Besides, Grimmie is rather fickle. My Gen. 2 Heir tried to plead for his wife, but Grimmie turned a deaf ear. I had to roll with the punch on that one. I would love, just once, to experience a death by emotion in my game. It's kind of like that death by satellite I never experienced back in Sims2. It nags, you know?
