I removed the emotional death just for this reason. Anyway, if you have romantic garden and you want to revive your sim, summon the ghost, type testing cheats on, add the ghost to the family by right click, place the wishing well right click on it and select "force positive outcome", then ask the well to bring the ghost sim back to life. No need to revert to a previous save. The other way is the ambrosia.
