I always tries to give the premade house a "makover" or renovation, trying to keep the original style on the outside but fix the things i dont like. However if i despise the build, i delete it and build a new one but still in the style with the neighbourhood. Seems to work quite well for me but i got too many old builds that ill start over from scratch once more in a week or so and get the expansion whenever im done haha.
