Delete CC from CAS

One thing I would really like to see added is the ability to delete custom content from CAS. Did you ever download something only to discover that:

1. It looks terrible on your Sim?
2. You can't find it in your Mods folder to get rid of it without going through a drawn out process of elimination.

Wouldn't it be so much easier to be able to eliminate it from CAS? Please EA add this simple thing to the next patch or pack.

  • Yeah I used to use the tray importer thing and have since organized my mods folder so nothing is all over the place. Haven't had much problems with most of my mods so far except bald heads but found them easily.

Well it's easy (sort of) to delete items from your library, but it would be nice when you are dressing a Sim in CAS to simply delete something that you don't want anymore without having to go into the Mods folder and deleting it there or using a third party program. If nothing else CAS could show you the file name. It just seems that this would be an easy thing to do without out having us resort to a third party program.

Like I said, it would be an interesting feature. But given that EA does not support Custom Content, it is unlikely that they will spend money on developing such a feature, especially since this would be a free update. Just saying you may want to look into the 3rd party options suggested here.

Funny, I just went through this scenario. I had found some 18th century clothing from a few different sources. Most of what I wanted installed just fine and I've been able to use them in my game. However, there was one item that really didn't work at all. We're talking about the head of the Sim has white and red streaks and then nothing more shows other than the feet. Took me a little bit to sort out just which of the new cc was the culprit, too. Sadly, even in CAS the name of it wasn't showing, else I wouldn't have had much of a problem. After several rounds of removing something from the Mods folder, entering the game, taking my Sim into cas.fulleditmode to test the item, or to see if it was still there. Wash. Rinse. Repeat. I finally removed the correct item. Pity, too, as that one outfit looked closer to what I was wanting. The corset/vest looked spot on, the skirt had the right fullness to it. Happily, in the ensuing time since I played with cc, the women's linen cap I wanted, I found! It's not white, but hey, I won't be picky since it looks very much like the desired everyday cap. Also, there's a plain nightgown that could pass for the shift women wore under their layers.

But, yeah, I kept wishing I could simply click on the item in CAS. It would save so much time! And, you could be certain you got the problematic piece of cc.
