- Yes, they will disappear. Also - the game does not recognize edited screenshots (At least for me).
If you want to keep them, you should store copies elsewhere. - Karababy526 years agoLegendI think what you're asking is if you delete screenshots that were taken as photographs to use in your Sims home, will they still be viewable in the Sims home, right? If so, then yes. In my experience, deleting screenshots from within the in-game folder doesn't affect the game whatsoever. However, unless you cut and paste the screenshots to another folder to keep and view on your hard drive, they will be gone forever if you simply delete them.
I'm not sure about any 'memory' moodlets attached to the photographs though. I think they stay with the in-game photograph even after it's been removed from the screenshots folder too. But I'm not 100% sure about that since I rarely use that feature.
I've never had a photograph disappear inside my Sims home from deleting them in the screenshot folder, but you guys have had that happen? That's weird. I wonder why it happens for you, but not me. o.O "Karababy52;c-17426282" wrote:

I'm not talking about the photographs that the sims take with their phones or cameras. I mean the screenshots that you take by pressing "C".- Karababy526 years agoLegendAh, okay. I didn't know we could view screenshots taken that way in-game. Interesting. I guess it's true we do learn something new everyday, eh? ;) Where is the button to view those?
Anyway, in that case, I'd agree with the Simmers above. If you remove those from the screenshots folder, you won't be able to view them in-game anymore. - DeKaythePUNK6 years agoLegend

It's the circle swatch looking thing (I guess it's supposed to look like a camera shutter) near the speed buttons at the bottom. - Karababy526 years agoLegendAh, okay, cool. I've seen that button before, vaguely remember reading it had something to do with memories, but have never used it. Thanks for the tip! :)

Deleting the files in the screenshot folders deletes pictures viewed with this button. I knew that. But what about those pictures my sims took and hung on their wall in their houses? Will they also be gone or are they stored elsewhere because they can be transferred through the gallery. - Admiral8Q6 years agoSeasoned Ace

No. The screenshot folder is extra. Any camera pictures are in the hard-copy of the game until actually 'sold' or deleted in-game.
To reiterate, the screenshot folder is not connected to anything in-game. - DeKaythePUNK6 years agoLegend

The photos you took and hung on the wall will still show up when in the game. Tho, you will not be able to find them in the screenshot folder once you have delete them. I'm guessing they are stored somewhere but the resolution will be very bad and pixelated. You probably maybe need some mod or The Sims Studio to extract it out but I'm not 100% sure if someone has figured out how to do it.
