I get it :) I personally feel like the few I do watch tend to be pretty honest about things they don't like. Then again, I get suuper excited as well about most TS4 content. Maybe that makes this all the more heartbreaking to me? Idk. I accept others may not like a lot of these youtubers very much, but there are some passionate players among them, and when something doesn't quite meet their expectations, they do tend to call it out. But then I guess that so far in TS4's run, no pack has failed most simmers' expectations quite as much as this one yet. It's just an all-round confusing thing, from announcement to release. And probably far beyond ...

Which of the youtubers do you watch? Like who do you think tend to be pretty honest?
Just wondering haha, I don't really watch Deligracy all that much (except via James (The Sim Supply)) but I do feel like she did a really good job in her short review of the trailer, as did James. I do want to keep in mind that they ofcourse would not be as mad as us since they do get their stuff for free but I do think that even though they get it for free they did voice some of the opinions that I have - Not as harsh as my opinion may be (I saw a giveaway for this pack already, and I don't even think I would want to win it (even though it is really so nice of the person to host a giveaway) but just because I don't want anything to do with the pack, I don't want EA to "see me play it" and then go "Ahhhh, yes my puppet, playyyyy" .. ;) )

Lol yes :D Well I like Deligracy's videos for one, I actually really do. To me personally, they're always very informative and show me exactly what kind of content I can expect to be in the pack (but I do skip through quite a few parts, I'll admit that). I also like LGR (I know seems contradictory for some people but whatever xD) & Sim Supply. The others I will occasionally watch as well but only when their reviews are up first or I just want to try and see more. Except for SimsVIP. I don't like her voice that much, but that's not her fault of course ^^

Nintendo did that with Metroid Federation Force. We had been asking for a new metroid since 2009 I believe, and they announced a garbage spin off where you don't even play as the main character Samus. There is a stark difference between Nintendo and EA. If Nintendo makes a mistake, they own up to it, and they do everything in their power to mend the relationship between their company and their fans. They care a lot about that relationship, and as a result, I feel much more at ease purchasing and supporting a Nintendo title far more than an EA title.

Nintendo games are probably the most complete in the market too. I've never felt gimped with a AAA Nintendo title. Always pure fun and quality unlike EA, who it feels like is always trying to get me to hand them an extra dollar at every turn.

Agree about Nintendo, I have yet to be disappointed with a Nintendo game as much as I am with The Sims at the moment...

I've stopped playing many Nintendo series (Mario, etc), ages ago, so meh. :/

Stop blaming YouTube's for EA's greed, this isnt their fault. Most of the youtubers always speak up when they dislike something, especially deligracy. Almost all of them spoke up against the ball pit and helped us get it changes.

I'm tired of people blaming youtubers or accusing them of faking their opinions to get free stuff. I'm sure some of them do, but most of them do not. But since they arent LGR, their opinions are fake.

Deligracy always try to see the good and bad, and the bad she does see she always states constructively and offers ways to improve.

We are never going to get anywhere in the community if we point fingers at each other and blame each other while EA continues with this greed.

You do realize that these YouTubers overwhelmingly suppress their actual opinions right? How about you ask some of the former SimsCamp attendees what type of goodies they have gotten since they offered their honest feedback for where the game fell short?

EA isn’t in the business of giving people freebies if they aren’t going to give them something in return. Notice how even the most “critical” voices still don’t suggest you avoid purchasing the pack. Deligracy even said it would be a great pack for kids. They will promote anything regardless of how they feel about it because at the end of the day they aren’t paying for it and they’re making cash on it anyway.

Just stepping in to make a correction about this...

I've been paying attention to what some of the influencers have been saying and I can verify that Iron Seagull out of nowhere asked if anyone had seen the Black Panther movie yet, then proceeded to weave his opinion into saying, "Go see Black Panther instead. Even if you've already seen it. For ten dollars, go see it again." It was actually pretty funny.

I'm actually curious to see what they'll have to say about this pack next week. I kinda hope they'll remember that part of reviewing a pack is being able to answer the question "is it worth your money IF you like this theme?". And I don't think this pack should be worth anyone's money :D Again, not because the stuff in it isn't cute or fun or because I'm opposed to the idea of a dedicated small pets GP, but because this entire SP is such a ridiculous concept to begin with xD I understand people being excited about hamsters, as such, under different circumstances I would have been too. But under these? I can't. I don't even want to like anything that's in this pack, because my head is still spinning from the last 48 hours. I knew EA was greedy and that The Sims was owned by them, but to be this blatantly and in-your-face greedy is just a level of customer disrespect I didn't see coming at all. Not like this. And I hope for them that a lot of parents will answer their kids' and young teens' requests for this pack with a shrug and a "I bought you pets only a few months ago already, go play with those instead". I want the sales for this pack to be visibly horrible, because if they keep doing this, I'll have to start thinking twice about the EPs that go with these SPs.

Agreed! I'm also very curious to see if the Influencers stick to their guns about this pack.

Personally, I would love to have the rodents, along with the death and disease, but not like this. I mean really, EA. If you're going to scam us, at least try to cover it up with subtlety, lol.

Yeah I feel exactly the same as you. And you know what else? I hate that they're ruining our JA fun this way. Cause it's ruining it. I can't hate them for this SP AND be excited about JA at the same time. It's confusing :disappointed:

The only publisher who is greedier than EA is Square Enix, and I'm going to stop there because that's a rant that can go for a while.
