Detective career - APB bug?

I have no option to issue an APB. I have lots of clues and have not edited the station at all. I also came across the bug where there is no suspect at the station after arresting them, so I quit the job and they restared only to come across this APB problem.. its so frustrating.... I have searched forums and the only solutions I can find is regarding editing the station which I havn't done. Please help!

    Hello.
    Try seeing if when your sim goes into work the next day, there may be the option to issue the APB.

    I have tried lots of things including that, thanks for the reply, but I have now left the detective career as it is unplayable, really disappointed.

    Hello.
    Try starting a new save game file and see if the same thing happens in that game. There may be a few glitches in your current save game.Try saving your sim to your library, then start a new game and place your sim into the world and have him join the detective career again.

    It's probably because your Sim quit the job after making an arrest, without completing the interrogation. Click on the interrogation table the next time your Sim goes to work to see if the suspect is on the lot somewhere. Also check the surrounding neighborhood. Missing suspects usually turn up the next time your Sim goes to work or returns to the station from a patrol or crime scene.

    My Sim can issue the APB but every time she goes to the designated location, the suspect isn't there. I've sent her to about 5 different locations and she can't find the suspect to arrest. I'm worried that the suspect may have already died in game (it's an Elder) and I'll never be able to solve the case.

    You should probably go back to an earlier save if you think your suspect died. There isn't any way to get another case without finishing the current one as far as I know.

    I'm having a similar issue. If my Sim goes on patrol or issues and APB, the workday ends. I think it's since the last patch, but I can't be 100% sure

    Hello @sarahzsmyl.
    Repairing the game may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.

    Does it happen each day that your sim goes to work? Try testing with a different sim or start a new save game file and see if the same thing happens.

    I have tried for 3 days, I can issue an APB but have no option to arrest? I have found the person 3 or 4 times each day.
