Did Jacques Villareal kill his wife?

I'm not sure if this has been brought up before (I searched and couldn't find anything here) but it really seems like Jacques Villareal murdered his wife. My reasons for thinking this are:

1) He has both the Dastardly and the Insane trait.
2) Under the family biography it says his "wife disappeared under... ahem, mysterious circumstances"

I'm just curious if anyone else thought this, or if I'm just reading too much into it.

    This theory definitely works for my game! I think I gave at least one of the children the custom trait "Whale Ate My Mother." In my game, the father murdered his wife and went to jail (aka got deleted). So now I just play the children. I created a NAMI club for them (National Association on Mental Illness).

    Huh so his wife got the alternative universe fate of Bella Goth's original fate.

    I think Max did, I know he's a kid but the only thing he knows is being Evil already as a child, and I think his dad saw or knew and it made him not well. I don't think Jacques did it himself, he is retired from the criminal career, but it is possible that an enemy could be responsible, tho I am leaning towards Max
