Did you fill out the community survey? Will things change?

Just curious to know if anyone filled out the community survey. If you'd like to share what you said here you are more than welcome here! Everyone's opinions are valid and we can have a discussion.

I personally said I was disappointed in The Sims 4 as a whole. I feel like no matter the traits I choose for my Sims, they all feel like they're the same person. I said I was unhappy with the broken core mechanics of the game and the lackluster packs that have been released. I also mentioned that as a longtime fan of the series The Sims 4 was the first Sims game I've ever had to mod. I said I don't feel like they take into consideration those of us that have been playing the franchise for so long and how The Sims 4 packs constantly feel like bare bones or half baked concepts. I also expressed my disapproval of My First Pet Stuff and the concept of releasing a pack that requires another pack to enjoy all the content. I did say there were some great aspects to The Sims 4 but I think their biggest issue is that the game just doesn't play like it should and they need to fix that first before they can start creating better worthwhile packs.

    Monthly? What a joke.

To maintain the community feeling like these surveys are important and fulfilling when in reality nothing changes about the game or the marketing/community's teams strategy to divulge new content and keep us "engaged". Since November that it hasn't. The game itself should keep us engaged without the need for events and other filler fluffy "positive" stuff but ok.

I can't really say what kind of joke this is. And I'm pretty sure that I'm not going to bother filling the same survey every month to repeat myself again and again, asking for bug fixes and better personalities for the sims. These aren't even otherworldly things that guru's couldn't possibly guess the gamers want; four years into this game. Tragic. This all smoke and mirrors.

There's already an HQ for bugs how about developers start with that?

I didn't even know these were going to be monthly surveys. It does seem a bit crazy to fill out the same things over and over especially when it's proven that things haven't changed.

I also may be a little picky but I'm not too happy that the tweet says "It really does help us out (and you)!" as though we're the after thought. Just an observation.
  • I kinda get the feeling that some of the higher ups are just going through the motions.
  • I filled it out but it was based more on the community than the game, so I didn't say much.

The "would you recommend to friends" question is interesting because at my age I doubt most of my friends are interested in starting up a new game -- if they even play video games at all.

I'ts interesting that most people that have commented on here that have filled it out said they wouldn't really recommend it to anyone. I'm not sure if it's a far assumption but I'm guessing most of us are in our mid-20's that have grown up with the franchise. We wouldn't necessarily tell anyone else to play the game, but we enjoy it enough ourselves that we want to give our feedback and hope to have it improved.
  • I filled it out, but I’m not sure what the point was to be honest. There is little regarding the game itself, and it’s mostly about their communications team. There are no questions regarding what they don’t do well, or what they could improve upon. Any survey that asks you to list what you like and nothing else isn’t seeking valuable data, and believe me the responses that didn’t answer the question that was asked are going to be put to the side.

It is next to impossible to make any positive change when you’re only asking people for reassurance that you’re doing a good job. This survey needs to be re-evaluated before it’s Feb release. Pick better questions that are going to produce better data. Avoid questions that serve only as a pat on the back: “what does our community team do well?” Questions that like shouldn’t be there unless you’re going to ask what they don’t do well, and where they can improve.
