Did you know? (ROM edition)

Hello fellow simmers,
I thought I’d start a did you know thread for realm of magic. I always love seeing this and learning new information from them when a pack releases. Tell me what you’ve discovered in this fantastic pack?

Did you know that you can by a potion to cure curses in the rewards store for 500 points? Seriously a life saver for me as a low level spellcaster. Everyone was fighting my poor sim and becoming her enemy (more people to perform magic on 😈)

@WolfNate the Morgyn in my save completed the Potions Aspiration, it was actually easier: there needs to be a cauldron in the house and make 5 successful potions and they're done!

But he knows all 15 potions automatically and you need to learn a potion?

I think because he already knows them the milestone is completed, at least that's what happened in my save. What happens when you try it?

    Er I didn't try I guess

From the twice I’ve done it, setting things on fire with magic does not seem to trigger the typical FIRE!!! Reaction.

At least within the timeframe to then put the fire out, and give your sim a confident buff (if they don’t have the chilio spell)

Well, my own sim got the orange bad buff for 24hours fire! (1 x sim household) and even though he put it out with chillio, he did not get the confident buff from putting it out

I did some testing with Infatuate to see what other things it can do. It turns out that with Infatuate, you can make parent and child (both adult) kiss and get a romance bar up with each other. They won't have romance options and can ask to just be friends, though. This was certainly a... choice.

My Rewards Store very much does not have this. What is the name of the potion? I checked all 500 points options.

Umm mine does, but I cannot remember what it is called not in game at the moment, but it's there

Yeah, no curse-cleansing potion in my rewards store either. Yesterday was a bad day for me because my newest witch got hit with the two most undesirable curses early on, and instead of taking it slow with magic as I wanted her to, she ended up rushing through the ranks to finally unlock the potion to remove the curses. I wish they'd sell that thing at Diagon Alley, but the only potion they ever sell there is the Perk Purging one, I couldn't ask a sage to remove a curse either, and the curse-cleansing spell unlocks at the same level as the potion, so no difference there.

It just isn't there for me, probably conflicts with one of my mods for some reason. Oh well.

Isn't there a potion spellcaters can make in the cauldron that removes curses? If so, why would you need to buy it?

Because your Sim might not have learnt that potion yet and/or might not have been able to find the ingredients to make it.
