I tend to play as a colonist/rags to riches type player. I empty my world of all Sims and houses so I start with a clean slate. Then I create a bit of a story in my mind, usually about a struggling Sim (homeless, single mom, etc.) and place them on a lot, remove all of their money, and then play. Once they no longer struggle and have a nice home and a family, I tend to start with another.
