Yea, but it is ridiculous that I had to add 14 lights to ONE area to get my screenshots on my thread to look like they do, which is just normal. A, my sims are poor and its annoying and B, it looks ugly as hell when you look at my ceiling....I have a total of 42 lights in my house between all the rooms, I'm sorry, but that is too much and it NEEDS to be fixed....
I'm honestly surprised more people aren't complaining about this. I'm seeing some great houses and screenshots but for me they're slightly ruined by everything looking so dim inside. If this isn't addressed in a patch I seriously think we need a lighting mod asap.
I know!! Its really bad. I'm actually going to take a picture of how many lights I had to use, its ridiculous. It was so many that I was getting the "cannot place objects intersecting eachother" all the time because my whole ceiling is covered. Otherwise you can't see. Also 90% of all the windows are tiny. I covered my house in the only floor to ceiling windows in the game and it was STILL dark. I loved the lighting in the Sims 3, it was so beautiful.
The windows don't give as much light as they should either. Someone should take a photo of a real-life room and recreate that room in game with the same amount of lighting to show how much darker it is than it should be. Be sure to make a new thread when you post the photo, I'd be very interested to see it.
