Something else I noticed is that the more expensive the light, the brighter it is. The cheap lights are just like real life, cheap and dim.
But, alas, adding more lights is not a satisfactory answer for someone like me. I want the game to be aesthetically pleasing while I play the game and when I build, I don't want to have to put tons of extra lights everywhere just because the interiors are so dark. That defeats the purpose of building, in my opinion. I hope EA fixes it or eventually I will have to resort to modding the lighting file. I'm sure it's easy...I should look into it.
