Dim Interior Lighting (Easy Fix - NOT a glitch)

I noticed when my sims first entered the game and the house that the lighting was so dark. I was afraid there wasn't anything I could do about it. It is not a glitch. The easy fix I found (don't laugh...

Looking at this thread and staring at my ts4 ingame, I was wondering are the "hidden" bright lights still in the game? If not could those be added? They would be a nice addition incase you don't want to have a huge ton of lights in one room/section x-x. (well imo)
