Disappearing sheet music Bug?

No this is definitely a glitch. My sim has written 3 complete songs since getting to the level of the musical genius aspiration that requires them to write 4 songs. It still says she has only written 1 song. Very annoying glitch considering this is my legacy heir and I would really like for her to complete her Aspiration!

How is this related to the OP's problem?

I get that you think you have a glitch in your game, but it's not even close to what the OP reported.

Sorry if this is the wrong place, all new to me.. My sim plays the piano and writes songs to publish as self employed. She starts the song off and as these take so long she soon needs food etc. When she stops playing to attend to her needs the sheet music does not appear in her inventory for her to continue later. Its not anywhere. Only option is to start again. Shes at level 10. Is this a bug or am i doing something wrong. She also plays the guitar but is at a lower level and the sheet music for that appears unnamed in her inventory until finished and is named and then licensed as normal. ??? So frustrating.

Yes, this is definitely the wrong place because it violates the Necroposting Guidelines. You'd be much better off starting your own thread if you can't find a recent thread on the same topic.

There is a similar thread about licensing songs, How To License Songs?, but I think your problem is that you can never finish writing the music. That's a different issue and you should probably post about it separately. The sheet music for your unfinished songs should be in the sim's personal inventory. If it isn't there, I don't know anywhere else to look.

I checked in my own game. The sheet music for the piano song my sim is writing is blue, with a picture of a violin on it. That might throw you off if you were expecting a picture of a piano. Also, all the sheet music seems to go in the same stack, regardless of which instrument it's for.
