Disappearing umbrella?

The umbrella isn't in any sims inventory.

I didn't know vamps could use it to block the sun. It has been a while since I played my vamps..lol

Yes it doesn't appear in their inventory but they should automatically use it out when outside.

Hm. Then I have a problem. Mine does NOT appear as an inventory object. At all. Nor does it open when she's outside. The problem is, she can't seem to get another because she's already picked one up from the little holder. What to do?

The umbrella should NOT appear as an inventory object. That is how the game was designed. The only time I have seen Sims use the umbrella is when it is raining outside. I am not even sure you can use it on a sunny day unless vamps have an option that I don't know about yet. Oh wait now that I am thinking, I believe if you click on your sim there is an option to open the umbrella.

I see it now. Not sure why I didn't before. I manually opened it once and from then on she used it automatically. I guess something was glitched. Thanks.

This was added in the most recent patch. Vampires will automatically pull out the umbrella during the day, but you can manually open/close it by clicking on your sim. :)

I'm here having the opposite problem; I can't keep my vampire sims from putting away their umbrellas! Happens regardless if they're played or not, with full sun immunity or not either. I don't want to start a new save either.
