anyone else having this problem???
  • If you're not against using mods, there's one that stops autonomous mess making (I can't remember what it's called, I'm not on laptop, sorry!) - your simkids will only do it if instructed to when it's installed ^^
  • Cadence was always a 'live-wire'. Always touching and getting into stuff that wasn't hers. Oh, she also got into the paint.

But how can you look at that face and not love her. LOL I swear she is a born lawyer.

Are you thinking of SCAM autonomy control mod?
  • @mollymegan82 Do you have the Bust the Dust kit? I noticed a correlation between the constant inspired moodlet and my kids and toddlers making more messes. I finally had to mod out autonomy for make a mess.

I remember when they were doing the stream for the pack they said different kids react better to different parenting styles (strict, or less strict etc). It's likely trait based.

I tend to use the style that suits the parent. Like an ambitious sim might be strict with their kids when it comes to homework, or a lazy sim might just ignore bad behaviour while an evil sim even encourages it.
  • Think what other simmers are saying about an outlet is true. My sim's kids would make messes at home, whereas at the library they would rather play or draw. Crafts table and a bit of time may work.
  • I shouldn't be laughing but it is hilarious to me at times how stubborn our sims can be :D

If you have MCCC, there's a setting to turn off autonomous mess making too. My main child sim was very often making messes (all aspirations and skills maxed out too) and I just couldn't stand it anymore, so I turned off autonomous mess making. It turned it off for toddlers too - I don't mind when toddlers do it that much though, it's more realistic for them.
  • ok so one kid is neat and i do the strict all the time! and then force to clean up mess. i thought that would nip it in the bud but i guess ill try the hug it out! lol worth a try

No, it's one of Bienchen's - "no autonomous mess" ^^
