Same. In Sims 2 I always watched what the other Sims were doing around the dorms on fast forward while my Sim was in class. It was fast, and occasionally something entertaining would happen.
With Sims 3, it was interesting to watch one class, then it was just boring. And Sims always jammed up going into and out of class.

I know a lot of people apparently don't like rabbit holes, but I don't mind them. I like being able to send a Sim off and pay attention to another one or look at what townies are doing. As long as I can be active at work when I choose to be, and active in restaurants, I'm happy.
