- Perthelia3 years agoSeasoned AceThey seem to be about equal in satiation to the purchased packs, but the type of fish doesn't matter as far as I've ever been able to tell. However I think you can also use the fish that can't be eaten (goldfish, guppies, etc). (Tip: Fishing is a poor way to feed a squeamish vampire. Speaking from experience.)
For gardening, if I'm starting from nothing, I usually try to find blackberries, strawberries, and snapdragons and work up from there; they seem to have the largest payout. While developing the first few levels I go for quantity over value but cut back as the worth of individual plants increases, or the garden can become unmanageable quickly. Keep evolving every time you can. If you look up the grafting recipes, you'll be able to get more valuable hybrid plants by combining two common ones, such as strawberries+snapdragons=dragonfruit. Dragonfruit sells very well. Flower arranging also gets lucrative toward the higher levels, especially if you're growing your own materials. - Haneul333 years agoSeasoned AceI also think the plasma packs are pretty equal in satisfying vampire's thirst. I like the idea of having vegan vampires :# though (and not killing fish/frogs) so I use a LittleMsSam mod that allows for plasma packs to be created from plasma fruit.

Thank you both - TTNcreates3 years agoSeasoned AceAnything other than compelling other sims or asking for their permission is counterproductive. Drinking from plasma fruits is the worst. If you are into alternative methods though you can also create plasma packs from frogs.
- Fertilizer scales by price, everyting above 50 simoleons is good.
For gardening tips, if you have no other plans, I recommend starting in the rightmost neighborhood of Newcrest in summer to be able to harvest the rather valuable lilys. There are two or three wild lilys in this area and the townies will happily grill for you at the public barbecue, no need to spend time on cooking early on.
If you have Eco Lifestyle, flower kombucha generates a crazy payout. I made my fortune in the millionaire scenario with nine distilleries running nonstop and an ocean of lilies and orchids (Lily + Snapdragon, that conveniently also grow in this neighborhood).
A time saver is analyzing your starting plants with the Chemical Analyzer (from GTW) before planting them. If you succeed (some Logic points required), they will instantly be Nice instead of Normal. Warning: Only have 1 single plant in your inventory when doing this, otherwise failing to analyze one plant will mark all plants of the same stash as failed. - I think plasma packs made from fish fulfils slightly more thirst than those from frogs, but the difference is small and it will take quite a few packs to fill up the need each time. I personally find them inadequate and resort to use the voodoo doll method instead.
If you use the registered vampire lot trait, you will occasionally receive plasma packs. These packs gives more thirst than those made from fish or frogs.
Plasma fruits are really the worst. It just takes forever to fill the need with them, and it can't be improved by processing (e.g. juice fizzing).
About gardening, just start with basic plants and graft your way up to get more expensive plants (e.g. bird of paradise, orchid) as quickly as possible, but even the basic plants can get you through early on. You may also join the gardening career to make more.
As others have said, anything more than 50 simoleons is a good fertilizer. I usually find fishing too time-consuming and use rose as a reliable alternative. - Luvtehgeeks3 years agoRising VeteranIf you don't mind mods Zer0 has a 'more drinks for vampire's that works great, it gives them more filling options and adds an option for the globe bar too plus it rarely breaks. ??
