Do family dynamics from Growing Together change without going into CAS/cheats?

I have a parent sim who has a strict family dynamic with their child and was wondering if it were possible to have it change through gameplay. I know I can cheat it in CAS, but was curious if it could potentially change to the jokesters dynamic if I have the parent sim joke with their kid a lot.

Does anyone know if it’s possible, or do family dynamics only change when it’s initially blank?

    Yes! My main couple (Caleb & Morgyn) changed into Jokesters, and then evolved into a Close Family Dynamic.

    I really love how relationships feel more dynamic now after Growing Together/Snowy Escape, thanks to the changing traits, dynamics and sentiments :)

    These can change. Keepsake boxes help to change them faster and more easily (though you need an elder to designate them first). Interacting can also lead to family dynamic to change.

    Plus there is a potion in the rewards store that removes a family dynamic.

    Yes they do! I am so very happy I decided against restarting this save, taking Erik back to his pre-fame Teen years just so I could explore the Cantrell family dynamics. Erik lives with two of his three brothers and their only sister. I play with autonomy on and I'm getting all kinds of family dynamics happening. So cool.

    That's good to know. I got the option to select Jokesters and declined because I wasn't sure I'd get any future options.
