Do fish tanks work off the grid?

If you are not opposed to mods there is this one. It takes the current coolers in the game, and you can keep things cold in there, meaning you can prepare a meal, and the leftovers will keep. It also works for if your sim catches any fish, and keeping them fresh as well. I've tested it and it works on off the grid. Otherwise, fridges in the game require electricity and don't really work.

Sorry, I don't know about fish tanks if they work or not. I haven't thought to test them.
