Do the cats interact with the mice that are in the apartments?

They should. I put a mouse hole in the Vatore home and their cat would sit in front of it waiting for the mouse, then when the mouse came out the cat tried to catch it.

I don't know if they'll interact with the roaches, though.

Had 3 mice and 2 cats in the apartment, and didn't notice any interaction. Then again I don't think either had the hunter trait and both were lazy. Also at least one of the mice appeared when neither cat was in the room I got sick of the daily appearance of mice and cockroaches and moved my sims out after a few days, so I don't know if they'd eventually have started trying to hunt the mice.

My sim lived in the apartment next to Penny Pizzazz and her cat didn't chase the mice.

I think it depends on the cat. Some will, some won't. Some cats are actually afraid of the mice. It's sad. Photo is one of the mouse holes from buy mode.

@CrystalAbyss1 I think they are in the pet stuff(maybe in the wall art?), you might need to filter all by the Cats & Dogs pack. Photo of cats scared by mice.

Those cats are scared by the mice? Wow that's awesome, I love that some cats like or hate mice it adds realism. A bit off topic, but I wish they could eat the hamsters from My First Pet Stuff.

I had a cat in 19 culpepper that made no attempt to catch the mice, despite having suitable traits. :/

Ooo Will check that out, definitely a good addition to a basement room. Wonder if my cat will even care at all :)
