You're right, that was 2016. I know I've spoken with other Gurus since then as well. Definitely not a lot, but I have. It would be awesome to see them here every day, but I understand that isn't realistic at all. Also, as they've stated here, just because they aren't commenting, doesn't mean they're not here.

It's neat and I bet it was exciting to have a guru make a meme for you, though I still think that the way that people on here sometimes talk about the gurus is concerning. Like... they're just people... not magicians or mystical beings--though since it's rare to talk to them it does feel like spotting bigfoot when they show up :p

Anyone ever wonder if we should do something like discord? Have a live chat discussion every once in a while. I mean maxis monthly is one thing on twitch, but what about a live chat about certain things we have issues with or questions we have? Like let's say they do a live chat and the discussion will be alot of the common topics we all post here in feedback or the speculation part of the Forum. Maxis monthly is mainly things they want to share that are upcoming withing the sims 4 as a whole (mobile, console and PC), but we need a place where there can have a live open discussion with simmers that could also do once a month just so we all know we're being heard.

I was just thinking about that but maybe some way they could make it more controlled. In the past maxoids (as they used to be called) had very organized discussion about things in the sims 2. For example in another forum someone posted about the discussion of, I believe, the sims 2 seasons between maxoids as and players. But you're right the chat portion of the streams is chaotic. I just wish there was a way for people to just be civil about it and discuss respectfully without demanding things all the tike. But then again maybe if the gurus were more transparent, as they keep saying they are, people would have more patience and respect. Ive seen some of the posts on Twitter and it's a mad house there tool at times. I'm just curious to know what happened in the last 14 years.

We used to have those every now and then during Sims 1 - it was like a radio chat though - you couldn't see the Maxoids as they used to be called, but you could hear them and type in questions. It was usually when an ep was coming out.

There are two other Gurus in the back following the post threads during twitch - that pick from some of the questions asked. Also the Gurus at the desk sometimes catch some of them as well.

Yes, I understand how the live stream works. Still, even with persons dedicated to watching the chat, it would be impossible to catch it all. A lot of pertinent questions are missed due to how fast the chat is scrolling. Some questions, I suspect, are purposely ignored. It's not a good forum for equitable communication.

Imagine the chaos in an medium like Discord where, I believe, everyone has a microphone (?) and is vying to be heard. Phew!

Exactly this.^^^

Relatively speaking, Twitter is an easier medium to read and tweets are preserved so that the Gurus can go back and pick up things that they've missed, at their own leisure. Even so, good questions are often overlooked.

Imagine how many insightful questions are missed during the free-for-all of the live streams.
