I second that.
I moved a Sim into Forgotten Hollow just to see what would happen. She's best friends with Caleb (the hot young vamp). They're even starting a romance. She's hung out with Vlad and the lady with the Bettie Page hair, and she's had a couple of oddball vampires knock at her door.
After over a week (Sim time) of playing and hanging out,
not one vampire has so much as offered to bite her. As far as the game is concerned, they're just some really strange neighbors in a really strange neighborhood.
So I wouldn't worry too much. Your Sim will have to make the first move.
And there's so much amazing stuff with this pack, that, even if you don't like vampires, it's still worth it.
