- Age them up only when I feel need to or have ideas for the Sims family.
- Ernesdo8 years agoNew HotshotI chose naturally since I wait until the game says it's their birthday, but I do it myself. I like using the baby stage to get the baby's relationship high with both parents (if both are in the picture).
- I wait until I get the birthday announcement - then I wait for the next morning at 7am to age them up. I want a full day of learning so I can get those toddlers the Top Notch Toddler trait.
- I let them age naturally so i don't have to wrath of toddlers with no skills lol
- This was a difficult choice to make, because I tend to do both and a lot of times it depends on my game.
- Reddestiny9218 years agoLegendI age them up in ts2 I usually cheat everyone happy to get through the baby stage in ts3 unless I wanted them to be friends with their imaginary friend I would cheat their needs so they would just sleep through baby hood. Love my ts4 tots so I get right to them ha.
- I usually age them up, but with the caveat that they must be good friends with their mother and father first. It usually takes a simday or so.

I play with aging off so I have to age them up manually, I usually let them stay babies for one sim day, unless it's a challenge I'm doing with specific age rules. I did get triplets once which I instantly aged up because that's way to much to handle at once.
I got triplets once. The mom and dad were getting close to being elders so I thought it would be nice for them to have one more baby, they already had two adult children. She had triplets! It was a nightmare to handle all three, so I caved and aged them up thinking it would be easier. Holey cow, was I wrong! I was so happy when they became kids.- I have the lifespan for babies at 6 days, and will try to adhere to that with my played Sims whose aging is not turned on. But it might be longer, depending on how it fits with the timeline. It might also be shorter, if I REALLY cannot stand the baby lol. But I will make sure to always wait at least 3 days - unless I've been playing another of my households for quite a while and it'd only make sense for the baby to age up immediately so as not to mess up the timeline. It's all about dat timeline when you play rotationally. All of my Sims' children, as of right now, have been infants for at least one Sim week and often more.
