- Only because I play with aging off. If I didn’t eventually manually age them, they’d be stuck as babies forever. ;)
- For me it really does depend on the game style though. If it were a legacy, I suffer through the boring baby stage til I can get to the adorable toddlers I know are just a few short sim days away. If its just a for fun game or doesn't interfere with the rules of whatever challenge I happen to be doing, I always age them up.
- I age them up. While I love babies, they get tiresome quick, with me always having the Nanny take care of the baby. I really do not let any of my Sims age up naturally. Whether it be unplayed or played Sims, I manually age them up.
- Pegasyms8 years agoSeasoned AceI have found sometimes the game glitches and takes forever to age them up after its their birthday, so I wait until the birthday announcement, and then I age them up.
- Beardedgeek728 years agoSeasoned AceI age them up asap.
- I'm also playing with a vampire legacy and I let the babies be for a day or two and then age them up.
They really do feel like objects in the game, they don't have any personality or any signs as to what they'll look like in the future and have very limited interactions. I just want to skip that stage and see what kind of sims they'll be as soon as possible. - The only real advantage I see to keeping them as babies is to increase the relationship status the parents have with the baby. However they usually start out with 50% friendship already if both parents are present during the birth (I think). So I see no other reason to keep them as babies other than story progression reasons :/ . I would just rather have them be toddlers and start aiming for skills in all honesty.
- Since I play in rotation and I have a custom aging set, I let them age up naturally. Now when I do play just one household, I age them up as soon as my sim gives birth. There's really no need in keeping them as a baby since it's just an object.
- I usually age them up on the day that they would age up anyway, rather than waiting for them to do it on their own and possibly aging up at 3 AM. If I'm playing with aging off or a long lifespan, then I'll age them up after two or three days.
- Goth5838 years agoSeasoned AceI let mine age up naturally, but every once in a while I will age up a child to teen on a Friday so they can have the weekend to hang out with friends and build skills up. I play on long, and generationally, so I like to let the family spend tons of time together so they are all very good friends and the longer time lets me build up more skills before they become adults.
