So I just bought strangerville, as I did with every other Sims pack since Sims 2. This is literally the only game series where I do this. For the Sims 4, I've found that its pretty easy to run out of things to do as time progresses. Hence why every new pack is a welcome addition of new gameplay. However...according to Origin I haven't played the Sims 4 since last years release of Get Famous and I barely spent anytime with it as I was playing AC:Odyssey at the time.I'm currently playing Warhammer 2 and I don't want to leave mid-campaign to start playing the Sims 4 right now (because I might not go back as happens with games). But I still bought strangerville as I will do with the next pack even if I'm not playing Sims 4 currently - because I plan to and gotta collect them all'!So I'm curious if others buy all the packs like me or just specific packs, or no packs all!

I like most of the packs, but some I don’t have any interest in (like Vampires). I believe in using my dollars to make a point and will not buy something just to complete or collect unless I legitimately want it.

There's this myth that people who don't play the game are buying packs anyway. I'm not convinced that's a thing. I have seen people who buy every pack because they treat the game as a collection, not only as a thing to do. I suppose that's legit, though -- people collect toys and don't even open the boxes! I have all of Sims 4, but I've always approached all my games as buy what I want, when I want it.

I think Parenthood and Get Together are the only Sims 4 pack I've bought straight away at full price. I waited for all the others and I think I got most of them at a discount.

I still sort of buy them all - I mean I'm missing two stuff packs and will probably get them eventually. I try to wait for a sale unless it's something I need in my game right away (Seasons for example). If I'm on a simming break then sure I will wait for a sale or even a couple of sales until I'm actually playing and enjoying the content I already have. Now I've been playing quite a lot and planning to pick up Strangerville this week, because it would add to my current game plans and GPs haven't been getting big discounts lately.

I only buy packs I KNOW I will love. I've bought all the expansions, and I plan on having all the stuff packs, seeing I always want more 'stuff', but i tend to think more about Game Packs. I do not own Outdoor Retreat or Jungle Adventure, and I have no plans to ever own Strangerville either. I would rather save to buy the next expansion, stuff pack or Game Pack that catches my eye. I utilise everything i buy in game, but some concepts just do not interest me at all.

And I play at least twice a week too!

Sims 4 is the first Sims game where I've actually bought every single pack (though I waited for sales for most of them).

It's never so urgent that I can't wait for a sale either, and even then I'd rather invest in something I know I really, really want.

I tend to buy them right at release because I like having the whole collection, I have no patience to wait for sales, and I also create builds and videos so it's nice to have everything.

Kind of a combination... I only buy the packs if I really want it and I'm playing, but I will also buy packs that I sort of want if they go on sale or if I can get a build a bundle. I do have most packs, but like vampires I have no interest in so I'm not going to buy it even if it does go on sale. Bowling night would be a potential for me but it would have to be on sale otherwise I'm not interested. Other ones I buy right away
